Grand Teton National Park: Choosing direction of a simplistic, line landscape illustration style, I illustrated the famous Snake River Viewpoint. The simple style was quite difficult to accomplish on a busy landscape. The simple style also allowed for only a 2 color screen print.
Zion National Park: the client wanted a style rather than an obvious, over-used park illustrations. I was inspired by a retro throw-back style. The scene featured is known as the Three Sentinels. Through the process, the client finally chose a design that was not my top choice. My favorite design is seen as the first design for this series, second is clients choice that was produced for the race.
Printing: 3 color print, with white base cover that was used to callout the runners in the scene.
Yellowstone National Park: the client wanted to promote the parks other lesser known landmarks, instead of well know Old Faithful. They requested the Prismatic Spring. With so many colors in this landmark, I illustrated it without concern for printing output. By using watercolor vector brushes and transparent paint splatters, I effectively represented the spring.
Printing: 4 color seperation with green, blue, yellow and red with white base
ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK: Client had several requests for inclusion in this design- mountains, lake and wildlife. With so much in request, inspiration came from current hand drawn type and paper craft illustrations, with a special hint of halftone.
Printing: 4 color with white base
DOG MOMMA SHIRTS: An early project at my home decor job, mostly intended as a skills test. The direction was to elevate, and appeal to a middle aged mom.
